KILLEEDY GAA CLUB NOTES

U6s:

U6 players who played Templeglantine last Saturday morning in Raheenagh.

U10s:

Killeedy U8s played two 9-aside teams against two similar skilled Feoghanagh/Castlemahon teams in Raheenagh on Monday 27th. Both teams played to their strengths and delighted supporters on the line.

Fixture:: Friday 7th – U10s blitz expected. Time/Venue will be communicated during the week.

U12s:

Killeedy-Tournafulla played Milford in a challenge match last Friday evening in Tournafulla. Somewhat expecting a tougher challenge from Milford, Killeedy-Tour impressed across the field. Each play involved intelligent passing and working the ball up into a scoring position. It won’t always go so well but it’s great to see this group maturing into a team and winning matches because of it..

Fixture:: Thursday 6th. Our next league match is this Thursday in Askeaton at 6.45pm. Reminder of tournament in Ballybrown on Saturday 15th of June.

U14s:

Killeedy-Tournafulla played Dromcollogher last Wednesday in Dromcollogher. Against the wind and the slope in the 1st half, Killeedy-Tour played well and fought to keep a lead going into the 2nd half.. With conditions in their favor in the 2nd half, they grew on their lead. Final score, Killeedy-Tournafulla : 4-11(23) V Drom-Broadford : 1-8(11)

Munster U14s Blitz.

Next Saturday we are in an U14 blitz for Munster teams that did not make the Féile finals. It is an all-day event in Dr. Morris Park, behind Semple Stadium in Thurles.

The 1st match is at 11am & last match at 3pm, so we are planning on leaving Raheenagh between 9-9.30am. There will be a number of cars travelling so if parents can’t travel hopefully we will have enough to carry all.
