Under 19’s Bow out of Championship narrowly.
Glenroe Under 19’s suffered a narrow defeat to St. Kieran’s losing 1-14 to 1-13. Glenroe started well taking a 0-06 to 0-04 lead into the first water break on Wednesday night in Kilbreedy. The they kept pushing trying to push the lead on and succeeded when Liam Dennehy pushed through the defence. St. Kieran’s kept pace with Glenroe and only trailed by a point at half time. Glenroe 1-07 St. Kieran’s 0-09. The second half Glenroe struggled to get into game into the third quarter of the game and a double blow to Glenroe made it very tough for them to come back with a goal from St. Kieran’s and a red card for Liam Dennehy. Glenroe were trailing by a point going into the last quarter of the game trailing 1-12 to 1-11. Glenroe pushed with the man disadvantage but to no avail narrowly losing out by a point. This marked the end of their season earlier than they would have wanted. Thanks to the management team, players and background staff for the year.
