This was a very tight game played down in Cappagh, on last Wednesday night, this was our last league in the group.
Micheál Brosnan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford opened the scoring of the game with a point and then Adare replied with next two points to lead by a point. Jack Pierce of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored a point to bring sides back on level terms for the second time during the game and then Adare scored the only goal of the game to lead by three points with 13 minutes gone in the game. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points coming from Jack Pierce and James Molyneaux 45m to leave a point between the sides and then Adare scored the last three points of the half to lead by four points at the break. To leave the score at half-time Adare 1-5 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-4.
Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first two points of the second half coming from Micheál Brosnan and Derry McCarthy to leave two points between the sides and then Adare scored the next three points to lead by five points. Micheál Brosnan scored the next point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave four points between the sides and then Adare scored the next point to leave five points between the sides. Derry McCarthy scored the next two pointed frees for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave a goal between the sides and then Adare scored the next point of the game to leave four points between the sides. Derry McCarthy scored the last pointed free of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave three points between the sides at end of the game. To leave the score at full-time Adare 1-10 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-10.

To Limerick Senior Footballers and especially to our club player Cillian Fahy against Tipperary, Limerick defeated Tipperary on a scoreline of 2-10 to 0-10 on the night Cillian scored three points, in the Muster Senior Football Championship Semi-Final.

To Limerick Senior Hurlers against Clare, Limerick and Clare drew on a scoreline of 0-24 to 1-21, in the Muster Senior Hurling Championship Round 4.

White Collar Boxing Congratulations to Bridget Downes, Shane Sweeney and Séamus Cleary who all had very successful fundraisers last weekend. Bridget had an 80’s night in Nellie’s Bar Dromcollogher. Top prize on the night was a Smart TV won by Rose Carroll. The darts tournament ran by Shane in Foleys was won by John Barry. Thanks to everyone who supported these events and the scrap metal collection. This coming weekend sees Mary Folan Ryan hosting a talk by Claire O’Sullivan on Yoga and The Menopause Friday night, the 20th, in Broadford Hall. Tickets are €10 and can be gotten by texting Claire on 087-6220828. There is a raffle on the night with Tickets for the Script in Cork along with many other prizes. The talk commences at 7pm. Neenans are hosting a Bingo Loco for Mag Roche, Conor Brosnan and Caroline Quaid. A great night to be had. This is on from 9pm on Friday 20th. Saturday sees Bob Boyce hosting a 5 a side soccer competition in Cove Park, Broadford at 1pm. Teams of 8, €80 with great prizes up for grabs. Teams need to be pre-registered by contacting 087-2238070. All roads lead to The Haggart in Freemount on Saturday night for a monster BBQ and a people auction! Live music by Clover.
