This was very tight game with Rathkeale scoring the key goals in the second half of the game, the table after two rounds reads as follows: Gerald Griffins and Mungret/ St. Paul’s both on 4 Points Dromcollogher/ Broadford, Rathkeale all on 2 points, Fr. Casey’s, Pallasgreen both no points.
Derry McCarthy scored the first two pointed frees for Dromcollogher/ Broadford and then Rathkeale scored the next 1-2 of the game with goal coming from Mikey Morrissey and the points came from Gary Enright and Jack Hennessy. Jack Pierce of Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Andrew Meade exchanged points and then Derry McCarthy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford and Andrew White exchanged points. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 1-3 of the game to lead by three at the break with the goal coming from Micheál Brosnan and the points came from Cillian Fahy, Derry McCarthy, and Jack Pierce. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-7 to Rathkeale 1-4.
Rathkeale scored the next point coming from Andrew White and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 1-1 of the game with goal coming from Brian Ahern and the point came from Jack Pierce to lead five points. Andrew White of Rathkeale and Derry McCarthy exchanged points and then Rathkeale scored the next 3-4 of the game to win by nine points with two goals coming from Timmy Hogan and the other goal came from Penalty scored by Andrew White and with two points coming from Andrew Meade and the other points came from Eoin Kelly and Mikey Morrissey. To leave the score at full-time Rathkeale 5-9 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2-9.

On Thursday night our U13 hurlers travelled to Ballygran to take on Killacolla Gaels. This team put in a mighty display of hurling on the night clocking a big score of 2-12 to Killacolla Gaels 0-1.
