Ballyagran Development Association CLG

Littering is an issue around Ballyagran as well as a national epidemic. We participated in the Limerick clean up this year and cleaned the approach roads to our village. Unfortunately, last week rubbish dumping has again reared its ugly head. Bags of household rubbish we located on one of the smaller roads in the environs of Ballyagran. A very special thanks to the community members who went out and cleaned up after this galling display of selfishness and complete disregard for our environment. Fortunate for us the individuals who chose to dump their rubbish in our locality left identifiable documentations in their waste in the form of example bank statements and school reports. The appropriate authorities have been informed and are awaiting a response.

The native wild rose which formed a part our newly planted hedgerow on the Feenagh Road has started to bloom and is a confirmation of the hard work undertaken by the group this year. The commencement of the of the Tidy Towns competition adjudication is the 8th of June and we are looking forward to presenting our lovely village for judging.

We are continuing with our weekly village clean up on Thursday nights at 7pm. Bring your viz vest and cleaning equipment every little bit helps.
