Aaron Gillane has been voted GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.

The Limerick sharp-shooter polled 8,606 votes on the Official GAA Instagram page with his team-mates Gearoid Hegarty and Cian Lynch second and third respectively.

Aaron Gillane struck 1-9 as Limerick won the Allianz Hurling League title in impressive fashion at Croke Park.

Gillane’s delightful first half goal was a vital score for John Kiely’s team.

Gearoid Hegarty delivered a typically wholehearted display against Waterford.

Hegarty also nailed three points from play for the Treaty outfit, who enjoyed another fine success at GAA headquarters.

Cian Lynch’s value to the Limerick cause was underlined again during the win over Waterford.

The Patrickswell clubman mined two points and was a central figure throughout for the All Ireland champions.
