ST. PATRICK’S GAA CLUB NOTES

City/East Minor Hurling Championship Result:
Southside Gaels 3 10 (19)
Caherline 2 13 (19)
Three goals from county minor Diarmuid Hegarty, including a brilliant goal in the last play of the game to gain a draw. The third round will be in June after the exams when Murroe/Boher are the opposition.

U14 Hurling:
The U14 hurling team travelled to Pallasgreen for round three to face possibly the strongest team in our group. In round one we had a very even game away to Blackrock and in round two a fine win against Na Piarsaigh.
In the first half a strong Pallasgreen team were to dominate but St Patrick’s also hurled very well and fought for every ball. In the second half we seemed to find our form, taking some lovely scores, and remaining very competitive throughout. Again alot of positives from this game with a young panel who continue to improve with every outing and training session.
There is no doubt having players involved in senior and minor Limerick panels, in this our counties greatest era, is continuing to be a motivation for many of our future stars.

Limerick Senior/Minor Hurling:
Huge Congratulations to Diarmuid Hegarty and Sean Mortell who have been named in the Limerick Minor Hurling panel for 2019. A brilliant achievement to make such a competitive panel.
The club is very proud of you and wish you the very best for the upcoming Munster Championship.Congratulations also to Gearoid and best of luck for the year ahead. St Patrick’s will have Diarmuid and Sean on the minor panel and Gearoid on the senior panel for the Munster Championship games V Cork on Sunday May 19 at 4pm. Tickets on sale now.

U14s Girls Football:
The girls were away to Oola and missing a few regulars this was going to be a challenge.
However, the girls equipped themselves very well and got some excellent team scores. This is a developing team with plenty of potential.
The team lined out as follows; Nadine Noonan, Aoibh Hayes, Nicola Mujwala, Megan Rochford, Katelyn Rodgers, Courtney O’Dwyer, Molly Walsh, Abby McNamara, Kayla Mulcahy, Laura Chambers, Candice Moran, Ellen O’Neill.

Limerick V Waterford Draw:
The club is currently running a draw for two tickets for Limerick V Waterford on June 2nd in Walsh Park with €100 spending money.
With limited capacity for this game, demand will be extremely high. You can be the lucky winner and enjoy the sold out venue and a cracking atmosphere.
