ST. PATRICK’S GAA CLUB NOTES

U16 Football:
Pride of place this week goes to our U16 football team who won their Shield County Final on Tuesday last in Fedamore after a hard fought game against Knockainey/ Hospital.
Down by 1- 4 to no score early on, they showed great character to fight back and win a tight game by a point 1-10 to 2- 06.
A super effort by a great bunch, who have a bright future.Well done all.

Senior Football League;
A very good start to the league campaign with a win in Caherdavin on Tuesday night against Na Piarsaigh. A big panel of players were present on the night and with so much youth emerging it has given a real shot in the arm to all involved. Next up is Claughaun in Rhebogue for Round two.
Intermediate Hurling League:
Na Piarsaigh were also the opponents on Saturday night in the hurling league.
Despite a narrow defeat in the end, there were many positives with a number of players making their County Legaue bow.
The energy and workrate was immense throughout.
Next up is Ballybrown this Sunday at 12pm in Rhebogue.
Limerick Minor Football:
Congratulations to St Patrick’s Shane Cross who has been named on the Limerick Minor Football panel ahead of the Munster Championship .
Well done Shane.
Ladies Football:
A busy week for our girls teams with a number of teams back in action. It was fantastic to see big numbers attending all of the games. The U8s travelled to Oola, the U12s girls had 23 players for the journey to Granagh/Ballingarry and the U14s had a fine win at home to Ballylanders.
