ST PATRICK’S GAA CLUB NOTES

Junior B Football County Q Final:
Pride of place goes to our Junior football team this week.
Travelling to Mick Neville Park Rathkeale and coming away with a brilliant one point win after a very close game with Ballysteen from West Limerick.
It was great to see so many on the panel in the green jersey with a fine mix of youth from some of our successful underage teams and experience to guide them along.
Well done to the management team of Michael Geary, Myles Halpin, Tom Downes and Tim O Connor Jr.
They will now play Championship favourites Banogue on Tuesday 5 November at 7.30pm in Kilbreedy in the County Semi Final.

U21 A Football Result:
St Patrick’s 1 08 Crecora 2 04
A winning start for our Under 21 football team in an exciting , closely fought game in Rhebogue.
St Patrick’s played some fine football and with a young team on display it was very encouraging to see the battling qualities and bravery along with plenty of skill to edge this well contested championship game.
Next up is Kildimo/Pallaskenry on Saturday next.

St Patrick’s Hurling Street League
Another memorable day for our annual hurling street league that was held on Sunday. We had huge numbers and extended the competition to six teams all competing for the Niall Crosse memorial cup, the Shield and Plate competitions. The weather was very kind to us once again, perfect for all who took part to enjoy their hurling.
Many thanks to all the parents once again who helped with teas, coffees and refreshments and made for another super day in the club.
It was a joy to see so many kids from U6s up to U12s hurling in Rhebogue and no doubt there is a very bright future for all in the green of St Patrick’s.
Underage hurling continues every Friday night in Delta from 7-8pm
New members are very welcome, hurleys and helmets provided.

The club made a presentation to Diarmuid Hegarty and Sean Mortell after the Street league in recognition of their great achievement earlier this year in winning the Munster Minor title. The club is very proud of both young men.
