ST. KIERAN’S GAA CLUB NOTES

Medal Presentation:
Our county championship winning minor footballers will receive their medals this Friday evening in Neary’s Bar, Ardagh at 9.30. We will also be holding a quiz on the night.
Intercounty Activity:
Limerick senior footballers are back in action this Saturday when they welcome Westmeath to the Gaelic Grounds for round 5 of the National League. Limerick were not in action this past weekend but a number of games took place in the division due to the inclement weather over the past number of weeks. While Limerick may not have been playing it was a productive weekend for Limerick with fellow promotion challengers Westmeath and Laois suffering defeats. Limerick have three games remaining with Westmeath, Laois and Fermanagh providing the opposition. Limerick currently sit in first place in the group with three wins from four games. It is great to have two club players in Darragh Treacy and Liam Kennedy involved in the Limerick panel and playing a prominent role at present, hopefully Limerick can put together another big performance this Saturday and take another step towards promotion. Sean Ryan started corner back for Limerick u20 footballers who concluded their O’ Connor cup campaign this past Saturday when they lost by four points to reigning All Ireland Champions Offally in UL. Limerick now look forward to their upcoming Munster championship quarter final against Waterford on April 4.
