SOUTH LIBERTIES GAA CLUB NOTES

Féile Football
Our Féile Footballers produced some class performances last Saturday in both Ballysteen and Askeaton but fell short to qualify for the semi. They started slow in their opening game and lost out to Monagea. They went on to win their next 3 matches showing great determination. Monagea went to win this divisional final, but we have great hopes for this group of talented footballers for the future. Despite missing players on the day, some U13 boys stood up to the mark. We have 2 boys in this group who are on the County U15 panel in Sean Holland and Conor Ryan who were outstanding on the day.
Congratulations
Congratulations to Brian Ryan who was named the DCU Dóchas Éireann GAA Club Fitzgibbon Hurler of the Year last week citing Brian as giving assured defensive displays all year and often chipping in on the scoreboard. Very well done Brian.

Barry Nash was outstanding yet again and pulled off a classic goal despite playing in corner back. Barry yet again is proving he can play in any position on the pitch
