SOUTH LIBERTIES

Condolences
Following Limericks Munster Final win on Sunday June 5th, our community was plunged into utter despair, sadness, and shock early on Monday morning to hear of the sudden and tragic passing of Luke Buckley. As a club, we extend our deepest sympathy to Mick, Julie, Katie, Finn, and their extended families. An extremely popular young man who played with our club all the way up through underage to minor and U20 level. Luke was our goalkeeper for many of those years and represented South Liberties in Féile in 2014 in Dungloe. He will be dearly missed by all his club mates, friends, and team coaches.
All club activities were suspended for the week.
Many thanks to all those who attended Luke’s funeral and guard of honour on Friday June 10th at Knockea Church. The Club gave Mick and Julie “Luke’s goalie Jersey” to keep which was draped over His coffin.
Comhbhrón ó chroí oraibh go leir ag an am bhrónach seo. Tá tú inár gcuid smaointe agus paidreacha. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.
Condolences also to Murroe Boher GAA and Parish on the sudden death of Fr. Loughlin Brennan P.P. Our postponed East Senior Hurling League semi-final will now take place on Wednesday June 15th V Murroe Boher in Caherconlish at 7pm.
