MUNGRET ST PAUL’S
LIMERICK PLAYERS
Hard luck to the Limerick Footballers who were knocked out by Cork on Sunday 12 June 2022. Billy Lee and the team have brought great pride and joy to Limerick supporters. Well done to our own Killian Ryan who is part of the panel.
Congratulations to MSPCamogies Saoirse Browne, who this Sunday was part of the Limerick Camogie primary games team that played during the Munster Senior Hurling Final clash between Limerick and Clare in Semple Stadium at half time. You did your club and school proud Saoirse, well done!
U-15 Footballers were out at the weekend with two teams and both achieving a win over Wicklow. Well done to Conor Mangan, Rory Mullins, Conor O’Lonaigh and Liam Ahern who were playing.
U12 CAMOGIE
Our U12s welcomed Murroe Boher and Treaty Gaels to MSPCamogie HQ on Thurs night for a great night of camogie.
3 brilliant games for each team with plenty of skills and loads of commitment on display. Well done to all the players and coaches, it was indeed a great night!
DOGS
We would like to remind you that we do not allow dogs on our premises. We would ask that if you are attending any event in the club that you please leave your dog at home, it will not make a difference if they are on a lead or the best behaved member of the family, not only is it a Health and Safety issue but there are a lot of children at our pitches most of the time. Please help make our pitches a dog free zone. If you would like to walk your dog bring them to Mungret Park where there is a special area for dogs.
Thank You for your co-operation.
U-11 HURLING
Our U-11 players have been training hard all year and have had many matches already played. On Tuesday 7 June 2022 we had two teams who travelled to Monaleen where there was a great contest to obtain possession of the sliotar. There was nothing between ourselves and Monaleen overall with the work rate and the skill levels improving every week which just proves that practicing each week works. Well done to camogie player Sophie Lynch for playing in goals for team 2 and putting in a performance Nicky Quaid would be proud of. Well done to all.
JUNIOR FOOTBALL
Mungret St. Pauls 4-12 Galtee Gaels 1-5
On Wednesday 8 June 2022 in Kilbreedy our Junior A footballers took on Galtee Gaels in the county Junior A Football League Semi final. Mungret St. Pauls had a great start taking the game into hand and stayed guiding the game through to the end. This win brings them to the Final to be played next week against Camogue Rovers.
U-13 HURLING
On Thursday 9 June 2022 both our U-13 hurling teams were out and both had tough oppositions. Our division 2 team travelled out to Newcastle West where they played well in the first half keeping up with the hosts but the second half they fell back in the scores and were unfortunate to finish in second place. Final score Mungret St. Pauls 0-5 Newcastle West 2-5.
Our second team play in division 3 and welcomed Cois Laoi Gaels to the senior pitch. It took a few minutes for our players to settle into the game but the visitors had no problems getting straight into the game. Cois Laoi Gaels hit strong goals that were hard to stop, Mungret St. Pauls team fought for every ball they just struggled to get the scores up. Final Score Mungret St. Pauls 1-4 to Cois Laoi Gaels 4-8
