SOUTH GAA NOTES
ALL IRELAND SENIOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL ON SUNDAY
On this Sunday 13th. December, Limerick will play Waterford in the All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Final in Croke Park at 3.30pm. It will of course be a very strange occasion, with Covid-19 restrictions in place, with the game being played behind closed doors. It will nevertheless be a special occasion for Limerick, back in their second final in three years hoping to regain the Liam MacCarthy Cup, while 2020 has been a very strange year in so many ways, it has been a great year for Limerick Hurlers, winning the Munster Senior League, Allianz Hurling League and Munster Hurling Championship, let’s hope the success will continue on Sunday and we wish the Players, Management and all involved the Best of Luck on Sunday in Croke Park.
With the Senior Hurlers in All Ireland Final action on Sunday, the Minor Hurlers and Footballers with the Under 20 Hurlers will be in Munster Championship action on this Saturday, there are many players from the South Division involved in all three teams and they with all the Teams and Managements which also include some from South Division, are wished the Best of Luck on Saturday.

BILL FOX MEMORIAL ON SUNDAY : On this Sunday 13th December, Ballylanders GAA club will host the 3rd annual Bill Fox Memorial Run. During Bill’s lifetime of service to his club he had a 6km path worn from his house in Ballintubber to Frank B. Dineen park in Ballylanders. We invite you all to run, walk, cycle 6km for Ballylanders GAA Club and for Marymount Hospice. Bill was a great Gael and gave many years as an Officer of South GAA. To comply with COVID19 regulations and social distancing please complete 6km within your own 6km radius. This is something for all the family to take part in together whilst supporting a special cause and remembering one of our club’s giants. ALL-IRELAND PREVIEW ON THIS FRIDAY NIGHT : Limerick GAA are hosting an All-Ireland Final Preview this Friday December 11. This virtual event will take place at 8.30pm and includes a two-hour discussion with a panel of Limerick experts, an exclusive announcement of the Limerick All-Ireland team, interaction with our Expert Panel by sending in your questions during the event and exciting prize giveaways.

LIMERICK GAA “WIN A MERCEDES CLA 180” OFFICIAL DRAW : On Saturday last 5th. December the Limerick GAA ‘Win a Mercedes CLA 180 Official Draw, took place and the winner was Diarmuid Kiely Kilmallock to who Congratulations are extended.
