RATHKEALE GAA CLUB NOTES

Welcome Our New Chairman
Rathkeale GAA Club held an EGM on Monday night with the specific purpose of appointing the Club’s new Chairman for 2022 and beyond, after James O’Connor decided to step away from the role after many years of great work. With that, the Club would like to congratulate Frank Geary and wish him many years of success on taking over the baton. Frank has been involved in many roles over the years; player, team management roles, volunteer and a valued committee member, no doubt Frank will hit the ground running as Chairman and bring new ideas and experience to the role.
The Club would also like to sincerely thank James O’Connor for all the fantastic work he has delivered over the last 11 or 12 years as Chairman. James was great to roll up the sleeves and get involved and drive fundraisers to enhance the various ongoing developments within the Bog Garden. James was always the first to turn up at various meetings, official Club engagements or equally to line the pitch on match day. No job was too big or too small. We are lucky in the respect that James is only stepping away from his Chairman role, he will still be actively involved as a member and no doubt will continue to give a helping hand to bring the Club from strength to strength. Well done James and thank you for all.

The Club are delighted to be participating in the 2022 St Patrick’s Day parade in Rathkeale on March 17th. We are looking forward to seeing plenty of young faces lining out on the day as the Club’s float makes its way up the street. We hope to see you there!
