PATRICKSWELL GAA CLUB NOTES

SENIOR HURLERS: The Senior hurlers face Adare in the County Championship quarter-final on Sunday October 3 at 4pm in the LIT Gaelic Grounds. While capacity has increased, tickets must still be purchased online in advance.
JUNIOR A HURLERS: The Junior A hurlers play their fourth match of the County Championship against Feenagh Kilmeedy on Saturday October 2 at 5pm in Askeaton.
UNDER 17 HURLERS: The U-17 hurling team had an excellent win in the quarter-final of the County Championship against a strong Templeglantine side on Sunday evening. This brings the team into the last four and a semi-final. The ‘Well were ten points up at half-time and hurling well, but faced a very strong challenge from Templeglantine in the second half.
Two goals from Hugh Maher and Dale McDonagh created daylight, along with some excellent point taking from Liam Fitzgerald, Billy Earls, Harry McDonagh and Jack McNamara. The defence and midfield worked very hard and held firm in the closing stages and victory was secured with a final scoreline of 2-18 to 1-13. This team has worked very hard with their coaches this year and it’s great to see real progress being made. The team was Josh Mulcahy, Paddy McGrath, John Murray, Ross Ferguson, Christy Carroll, Billy Earls, Conor O’Brien, Harry McDonagh, Paddy Gardiner, Liam Fitzgerald, James Fitzgerald, Tyler McNamara, Hugh Maher, Jack McNamara, Dale McDonagh. The substitutes were Ryan Kennedy, Cathal Fitzgerald, Jack Foley and Leon Kinsella (injured)
CLUB LOTTO: The Club Lotto draw on Monday September 20 was not won. The numbers drawn were 1, 10, 20 and 25. The bonus number was 16 The €100 Lucky Dip was won by George Roberts and the €20 prizes were claimed by Laura Ivess, James & Majella Byrnes, Matthew Murray, Nessan Doran and Shane Doran. This week’s jackpot is €8,400.
