GO GASTA
A chairde,
We are looking for volunteers for TV show listed below. We will take on Mungret St Paul’s GAA on Sunday morning next October 3rd. Will take approx 2 hours. Let Donie or Gráinne Hickey know if you are interested and fit the age profiles listed below.
The series is based on the rivalry between clubs, towns, villages & parishes spread throughout the country which manifest itself primarily through local sports such as football, hurling, camogie and soccer.
Due to its success , TG4 have asked Abu Media to do a third series and we are currently looking at potential strong clubs .
It will be a day filming either on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday in August. We understand its coming into championship season so we would be flexible to film weekdays also. We have one team doing the challenges in morning and second team on will do the challenge in the afternoon and followed by the results with the two teams together. We need a team of six people and we need 2 or 3 on team that would speak Irish to talk to the presenters.
3 x Female (40’s upwards , 30-20yrs and teens)
3 x Male (40’s upwards , 30-20yrs and teens)
At the end of the whole series , whichever 2 top teams with the best times will unite and challenge each other at a venue in Sept for the top GAA club of the series.
SENIOR FOOTBALLERS
Our senior footballers lost out narrowly to St Kierans in the Relegation semi final over the weekend losing out by 4 points after the side were level at full time,
This was one we probably let slip as we were two points up heading into injury time.
However it wasn’t to be and St Kierans forced the game to extra time.
There was no joy for us in extra time and the concession of a goal proved crucial at the finish.#
We now face Galbally in the relegation decider.
We wish the team well in their preparations
LOTTO
The jackpot is now at €7800
The numbers drawn were 18, 20, 29, 32
The lucky dip winners were Claire Boylan, Danny Halpin and Adrian Daly
Sellers prize went to Liam O Brien and door prize to Brendan O Neill
NEWS
We wish groundsman Danny Halpin a speedy recovery following a recent procedure in hospital.
We congratulate Rose Collins and Mike Brougham on their new arrival lately.
CLUB LIMERICK DRAW
We congratulate our 2 winners in the Club Limerick draw for September
Dave Croucher and Martin Doyle both winning prizes.
No joy in the Ford Kuga draw either with the winner coming from Laois.
