PALLASGREEN GAA CLUB NOTES

SYMPATHY: There was much sadness following the Passing of former Club Chairman Michael Hayes of Ballynaclough who died peacefully in St Anthony’s Nursing home. The late Michael was a quiet unassuming gentleman was predeceased by his parents Denis & Ellen & sister Breda. He was a lifetime member of Cumann Fine Gael, the Pioneers Association and the Legion of Mary. He had a keen interest in the GAA and the local club whom he became chairman for two years in 1988 and 1989. He represented the club on many occasion in Scor and particular in the quiz category. He was an ardent Limerick hurling supporter and was very proud when Limerick won the All Ireland in 2018. He was immensely proud when the Cup visited the Nursing Home, an occasion that he gave him great satisfaction. Every time Limerick are playing Michael would don the jersey. Pallasgreen GAA respectfully honoured with a guard of honour escorting the hearse to the graveyard and pipers lament signalled his interment in Old Pallas cemetery. He was reposed in Ryan’s funeral home and requiem Mass took place in St John The Baptist Church Nicker. Interment took place in Old Pallas cemetery. Sympathies to his relatives and friends.
