BLACKROCK GAA CLUB NOTES

A first for Blackrock GAA this week with an outdoor AGM, it was nice to discuss matters face to face but it was cold, hopefully we can soon all meet indoors. Maura Quane has returned to the top table as the new treasurer, Fintan Leahy continues as Chairman, Seoirse Bulfin as Vice Chairman and Carmel Murphy as Secretary. All other officers were also returned unopposed and John Walsh was thanked for his years of service as Treasurer, John has stepped down since the nomination papers were returned.

There was no winner of the Club lotto. The numbers drawn were 7 9 15 26, so the jackpot remains at €13,000. The €40 lucky dip went to Simon Daly, Athlacca, promotor Centra, the €20 lucky dips went to Patsy Danaher, c/o Con Danaher, Dylan Dawson, promotor Brendan O’Brien, Bernie Denihan, Promotor Brendan O’Brien, and Carmel O’Connor, promotor Brendan O’Brien. Next draw Wed 5th May. Club membership is now available on www.foireann.ie there are several options, adult membership is €40, adult membership with lotto for the remainder of the year is €80, student and OAP €20 and social membership(for the walking track) is €20, student and OAP and social membership with lotto for the remainder of the year is €70. 12 year members are covered. Intercounty hurling returns next weekend and Limerick play Tipperary on Saturday 8th May at 17.30 in Limerick, best wishes to John Kiely and the team and management.
