On this date, 16th June 2019, Limerick Minor and Senior Hurlers made the journey to Semple Stadium Thurles to play Tipperary in Round 5 of the Munster Hurling Championship.
The Minors put in a fine display to score a comprehensive victory on a score line of 3.25 to 1.15 to reach their sixth Provincial decider in seven years
In the Senior game, Tipperary proved best to score their fourth win in the Championship winning by 1.22 to 0.21. A Clare win on the same day in Ennis over Cork, ensured Limerick were to meet Tipperay two weeks later in the Provincial final., on Sunday 30th June.
