NA PIARSAIGH GAAA CLUB NOTES

UNDER 21 HURLERS
All roads led to the Gaelic Grounds yesterday as our under 21 hurlers bid to win the Limerick Under 21 Hurling championship.
We got off to a good start with a James Daly point inside 60 seconds. However this was quickly cancelled out and 2 goals in a short five minute spell really rocked us back on our heels.
This was compounded by the loss of our full back Mark O Connor with a shoulder injury. The water break brought some respite and in the second quarter we rallied superbly to rattle off 5 unanswered points. By the break it was Doon who led 2-6 to 0-7
We again started brightly in the third quarter with three points in a row however we again left ourselves exposed and conceded a third goal.
Credit to this young team who fought to the bitter end but it was Doon who prevailed in the end on a 3-19 to 1-14 score-line with Dylan Lynch scoring our goal.
A big shout out to Paul Condon and Emmet Beston who did a great jobs with the lads who will no doubt learn hugely from this campaign.
