NA PIARSAIGH GAA CLUB NOTES

NEWS
It was with great sadness that we reported the death of Kay Coffey.
Kay was one of the first females in the club in the early days and became the chairperson of the ladies committee which was a big role back in the day, responsible for organisation the many successful socials held in the club back in the day.
Along with her husband Peter they spent many a long hour developing the club with their peers and 3 sons Dermot, Kieran and Eugene who played GAA for Na PIarsaigh.
We send our condolences to the family with daughter Elaine and sons Dermot, Eugene, and Kieran. Ar Dheis De go raibh a ainm

CAMOGIE
There was no joy for our Senior Camogie team as they contested the Senior B shield final against Bruff on Sunday morning.
We played pretty well in the first half and lead by a solitary point at the break. Our two goals came from the sticks of Lizanna Boylan and Aine O Tiarnaigh from a penalty.
We fought hard in the second half but in the end, it was Bruff who took the spoils by a solitary point 2-2 to `1-6.
Back to the drawing boards now for the management team as they try to stay in the senior ranks with a relegation final against Crecora. We wish them well.
