COUNTY FINALS ON THE DOUBLE
Huge congratulations to both our Senior and Intermediate hurlers who over the weekend qualified for their respective County Finals.
On Saturday we headed to the Gaelic Grounds for a repeat of last years County Final against old rivals Patrickswell.
We were quiock off the mark in this game with 2 popints from Will Henn and Kevin Downes inside 2 minutes.We played some very solid stuff in that opening quarter and were 0-6 to 0-3 up after 10 minutes with further points from Will Henn, Ronan Lynch frees.
The Well fought back and by the 1st half water break we led by a point 0-8 to 0-7.
The second quarter we stretched our lead with some excellent points from Tommy Grimes, captain Will O Donoghue and Adrian Breen.
Patrickswelk then lost their corner back to a second booking as thr 1st half ended.
Half time.we led 0-14 to 0-9.
We traded points in the third quarter before a brilliant piece of individual play by David Dempsey raised the green flag to put us in control 115 to 012.Peter Casey and Ronan Lynch added points to put us 1-17 to 0-15 at the 2nd water break.
We added eight more points in the final quarter with an excellent point scored by Jerome Boylan to add to points from his brother Conor, Tommy Grimes , Peter Casey and Adam McNamara.

Incidentally RTE just announced live coverage of the game.
On Sunday we travelled west to Croagh for the Nick Greene sponsored Intermediate Championship semi final against Feohanagh Castlemahon.
We flew out of the blocks in determined fashion with Pat Gleeson and James Daly firing over points in the early minutes.
We traded points thereafter to lead at the first water break 0-6 to 0-4.

Our backs were playing particularly well superbly led by Emmet McEvoy, Padraic Heaney and Conor Richardson.
James Daly continuing our scoring to the half time whistle giving us a slender 1 point advantage 0-9 to 0-8.
After a good regroup and team talk we again made the early running and Dylan Cronin in particular put his stamp on proceedings with a quickfire 1-1inside a minute to give us a cushion.
Kevin Daly and Pat Gleeson added further points to leave us 1-15 to 0-11 at the 2nd water break.
The final quarter we were impressive snuffing out any danger and give ourselves a launchpad foe more attacks.
A second Dylan Cronin point and another from Emmet Long with more James Daly frees sealed an excellent victory.
We look forward to next Sunday in the Gaelic Grounds where we face NCW in the decider at 3pm.

Our lotto returned for thr first time in months.
The jackpot stood at €2600 and the numbers drawn were 11, 22, 23, 26
