NA PIARSAIGH GAA CLUB NOTES

SENIOR FOOTBALLERS

Our senior footballers finished off their group stage matches with a game against Dromcollogher Broadford in Ballingarry on Sunday evening.
In a pretty even first half with the scores level on numerous occasions we were playing quite well, defending well and creating good openings.
However coming up to half time and ahead by a point we conceded a penalty which Derry McCarthy duly dispatched to make it 1-5;to68 0-7 going on at the break.
The second half was only 4 minutes old when corner back Conor Mcloughlin rattled the Drom net..Game on.
As the half progressed our opponents opened up a three point lead but great determination and will to win drew us level with points from Gordon Brown and 2 Eoin Hogan frees.
The final word was left to the ever busyKieran Daly to slot over the winning point 2 minutes into added time to leave a final score of Na Piarsaigh 1-13 Dromcollogher Broadford 1-12.
