Na Piarsaigh GAA Club Notes:
Senior Camogie:
Our senior girls booked themselves back into the County Senior B Final with a hard fought win over Granagh-Balingarry in the semi-final. With the majority of possession in the first half, we should have been much further ahead than the 5 points margin of 2-6 to 1-4 with Laura O’Neill and Grace Fitzgerald goaling. The 2nd half was teak tough and our side showed great resilience when Granagh-Balingarry closed the gap to a point. Laura O’Neill put daylight between the sides with a late second half rocket.
Team: Robyn Conlon, Orla Hickey, Sinead McNamara, Laura Ahern, Aideen McNamara, Aine Ni Tiarnaigh, (0-6, 5xfrees, 1x 45), Sarah Murray, Jane Wilson, Rachel Considine, Grace Fitzgerald (1-0), Lizanna Boylan (0-1), Sarah O’Keeffe, Laura O’Neill (2-0), Enya Harrington (0-1), Sophie Duggan

Tommy Burtchaell:
The Na Piarsaigh u10 team hosted the Tommy Burchill Tournament on Saturday September 30th. Played in monsoon like conditions it did not deter 140 plus kids from putting on an exhibition of hurling. The 2023 tournament was attended by St Vincents, Blarney, Newport, Feohanagh Castlemahon and Mungret.
The u10 management would like to thank the visiting clubs, Club na Nog, parents, players and the many volunteers for assisting on the day.
Intermediate Hurlers:
Our Intermediate hurlers finished off their campaign on Sunday with defeat to Dromin Athlacca on a 0-25 to 2-10 scoreline.
A disappointing day where we conceded far too many frees.
We do however wish to commend the team and Management for their efforts this year in what is a very difficult division.
We now look forward to next season and thank sponsors , players, management and supporters for their combined efforts.

The lotto jackpot now stands at €5000
