Mungret/St Paul’s GAA Club Notes:

Medal Presentation:
On Friday 19 January 2023 our juvenile camogie, ladies football, hurlers and footballers all came together for a one club medal presentation in the Community Centre. This event ran very smoothly on the night as each of the chairpersons, Siobhan Horgan for Ladies Football, Mary Barry Larkin for Camogie and Breandán O’hAnnaidh for the Juvenile boys all introduced their coaches as they in turn introduced the players of each team.
The medals were presented to the youngest players first which were the U-13 Lady Footballers, then it was the turn for the U-13 Footballers, U-14 Hurlers, U-14 Camogie, U-14 Ladies Football, U-15 Ladies Football, U-15 Football, U-15 Hurling, U-16 Camogie, U-16 Ladies Football and finished off with the U-17 Footballers. We were grateful to have presenting the medals for Camogie Ailbhe Larkin and Olivia Kearns, for Ladies Football Carol Bateman and Clare O’Meara, for hurling Pa Begley and for Football John Hutton. Mungret St. Pauls would like to Thank our adult players for their time and to the chairpersons for organising the event which was finished off with food from the Hungry Lyons and a disco for the players.

Mungret Community College put in an incredible battle on Friday 19 January when they played St. Marys of Newport in the U-19 D Hurling Final in UL. This match came down to the wire as both sides fought to the end but unfortunately for our players it finished St Mary Newport 3-15 Mungret Community College 3-13.
