MONALEEN GAA CLUB NOTES

CLUB GROUNDS: In line with the position advised by Limerick County GAA board, Monaleen GAA club respectfully requests parents not to send their children to club grounds during the period of social distancing put in place by the Government. This position has been taken to limit community transmission of the Coronavirus and in order to protect vulnerable people in our locality. We thank all parents for their full co-operation.

HELP AVAILABLE: Monaleen GAA club recognises that the current advise re social distancing and isolation can leave members of our community with challenging situations. If there’s anything we can do to help you, for instance dog walking, grocery drops, even a regular phone check in with you, please let us know, we’d be delighted to help where we can Contact Alan at 087 7766022 or Caroline at 087 6448807.

BAR CLOSED: In light of the instruction received a short while ago, and in the interests of our community members, Monaleen GAA Club will not be opening the Clubhouse Bar until advised that it is ok to do so. Stay safe everyone and please remember that the club is on hand to help our community members in these difficult times.

HEALTHY CLUB: Monaleen GAA Healthy Club: In line with current guidelines, CPR – Hands for Life training, scheduled for March 28th has been cancelled. We hope to facilitate this training at a suitable date in the future. Thank you.

FIXTURES CANCELLED: Limerick GAA confirmed in recent days that all club games in the Senior, Premier Intermediate, Intermediate, all U21 and Minor Hurling and Senior, Intermediate and Minor Football championships, to be have been played in April, have been postponed due to the outbreak of coronavirus. It is proposed that Limerick GAA will engage with the Provincial Council and National CCC with a view to restructure the Games Programme. This may include the redesign of the current formats. If so, we will engage with the clubs prior to any decision being made.

LOTTO RESULTS: The latest Lotto draw took place on March 12 with the jackpot standing at €20,000. The numbers drawn were 4, 9, 14 and 16. Winners of the €50 lucky dips were M. Stritch, Castleville; J/M Kelly, Monaleen Park; H. O’Shaughnessy, @Leos; M Hogan, Castleville.
