ROAD HURLING: Our annual St Stephen’s Day road hurling charity event takes place once again this year. The road hurling is starting from 10am at Noel Madden’s house at the railway tracks on St Stephen’s Day morning. The finish line will be at Morrisons Bar where there will be refreshments for all after. The format for the event is team of three, costing €10 per player. You will be out on the road with two other teams. It is a local event for a local charity and there must be one local from the area on each team. Last year the event raised €2,511 for our local charity, The Monaleen Cancer Support Group. Please bring your own sliotar (size 5 for all adults). No plastic sliotar allowed. For up to date details on the event please visit the Facebook and Twitter pages for Monaleen Road Hurling.
