As we have no Club activities at the moment to report we are asking you to
pull out old Club photos, match programmes or you may like to submit a story

COVID 19 KNOCKADERRY PARISH SUPPORT LETTER
Letters of support have being circulated through out the homes in the Parish.
Please do not hesitate to contact and member of our organisations if you need
help in any way. We need each other to support each other during these
unknown times.
LYPSYNC
The Club Development Lypsync fundraiser scheduled to take place in October
has being postponed. It will however be arranged at a later date.
CLUB ACTIVITIES
During the current crises all Club activities have being postponed.
GAA CLUB CRESTED BOBBLE HATS
There are still a limited number of Crested Bobble hats still available on sale at
€10 each. If interested please contact Ger Downes.

Minor Hurling team 1979
1979 Minor Hurling Championship
Knockaderry beat Dromcollogher by 3-1 to 1-4 to advance to the West final. On 28 July Knockaderry lined out in Newcastle West to play Adare in the West Final with Frank Neenan of Rathkeale ready to take charge of the whistle. Adare failed to appear on the appointed day. The Knockaderry line-out reported was: B. McMahon, J. Magner, D. Cullen, M. Walsh
D. Dowling, T. Curtin, M. O’Callaghan, G. Butler, R. Hayes, G. Cullen, G. Quaid, P. McMahon, E. Moloney, J. Keane, J. Lenihan. In the event, ‘Knockaderry managed to knock up a second team and they played an entertaining friendly’. The final was eventually played on 29 June 1980 when Knockaderry won the West Minor title for the second year running by again beating Adare, 2-6 to 2-4.
In the County semi-final, Knockaderry played Castletown-Ballyagran at Dromcollogher on 15 August. This was the day after most of the same players had taken part in the county Minor football quarter final against Galbally.
