We’re off the ground with the Dads & Lads football team. Just two ground rules to get started..
* You need Killeedy GAA club membership
* You cannot be a registered player on another team..
We’re building up to a match in a couple of weeks. It’s ideal for anyone looking for the mildest of activity, in the name of football. With holidays an’all, attendance is, come if you’re available.
This is open to everybody. No experience in football or indeed GAA games necessary.
Training every Thursday at 8pm in the new field.
All attendees must complete a Covid return to play questionnaire before attending each training session.

If you’re interested in a bit of weekly exercise, kicking a ball at your own pace, all-the-while, not a press-up in sight.. This is for you..!
The GAA launched their newest initiative ‘GAA for Dads & Lads’, click below for details. ‘GAA for Dads & Lads’ is a social hurling and football programme for those keen to enjoy Gaelic Games outside the traditional competitive structures of the GAA. We have included a number of different resources for you below to help promote this initiative.
With an emphasis on the social interaction and enjoyment that only team sports can provide, GAA for Dads & Lads is about keeping fun and participation to the fore of hurling football regardless of age or experience. The games allow incidental contact only (to minimise risk of injury) so skills are to the fore over physicality. So regardless of whether you are a recently retired great, a lapsed player looking to reconnect with the game you once loved, or completely new to Gaelic Games and looking to try your hand at a bit of hurling or football, ‘GAA for Dads & Lads’ could be for you.
And for the ladies…….Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others continues on Tuesday evenings in Coolyroe at 8.15pm. Please check out Feohanagh/Castlemahon LGFC Facebook page for more details. All welcome. Beginners welcome too!

U15s:
Féile – best of luck to Killeedy-Tournafulla in their Féila campaign on Friday. They play Dromcollogher, Templeglantine and Croagh Kilfinny Rtahkeale. Top team progresses to quarter final stages on Saturday. Host team is Croagh Kilfinny Rathkeale.
U15’s Hurling Championship – Round 5. Our downfall to date in this competition has been the ability to match intensity in the first 15minutes. Now into round five, Killeedy-Tour played Murroe-Bohar in Tournafulla last Monday evening. The team matched the intensity of Murroe-Bohar and were ahead going into the first water break. That same performance was not matched throughout the game and Killeedy recorded another premier championship defeat. Some positives to take from the game, but a lot of development needed to match theses truly impressive teams.
