Killeedy GAA & BNG Clubs extends its deepest sympathy to the Shanahan families Ashford, Harnett family Ballyduhig & Fr. Tom Shanahan, Loughrea on the death of their brother uncle & granduncle Maurice Shanahan Boherbue Newcastle West & late of Ashford.

U10s:

Mick Brown U10 Shield on Sunday 20th at 5pm in Raheenagh.

U12s:

Our U12s will play Athea in the Gerry Forde shield on Friday 18th at 7pm in Athea. Try be there for 6.40pm. County final medals will be presented after the match.

Junior B All-Ireland Series 2019/2020

It’s that time of year again. Preparations have begun for the killeedy hosted, All-Ireland Junior-B series. As with other years, our Fields committee, junior-B steering group and PRO team will be working closely together. The success of this annual agenda is your local support. Without your generosity of time to provide; stewarding and hospitality, the All-Ireland Junior-B Series would not be the Success that it is..

We’re launching this years Junior B Series this Saturday night at 9pm in Raheenagh.

Brian has music booked etc. Cappamore are returning the Munster Cup and Oylegate-Glenbrien returning the other two cups.

Healthy Club Project Notes:

We did it….Killeedy GAA & Camogie Healthy Club Project have been officially recognised as a “Healthy Club Project”. The clubs have been working on initiatives for the past 18 months on their priorities areas such as Physical Activity and Healthy Food. This initiative is supported by Irish Life and Healthy Ireland, Killeedy GAA & Camogie Healthy Club Project received a Grant totalling €1,000. Aine and Joann were in Croke Park last Saturday at the GAA Healthy Clubs Conference. This Conference included workshops covering Mental Health in Sport, Diversity and Inclusion, Positive Aging and the Importance of Physical Activity. Renowned GAA coaching tutor, Paudie Butler, discussed in his keynote address how the development of the child – including their wellbeing – lies at the heart of all good coaching and is fundamental to the principles of the Healthy Club Project. Killeedy GAA & Camogie were presented with their framed Certificate which will be proudly place in the Clubhouse in Killeedy.
