KILLEEDY GAA CLUB NOTES
U10s:
U10 team that played in a blitz on Friday night in Adare against Adare, Monagea and Kildimo-Pallaskenry. Well done all the players. Hugely enjoyable evening and thanks to Adare for hosting the event. (Team Photograph below)
U12s:
Congratulations on the win last Thursday. Final score Killeedy-Tournafulla 8:08 to Askeaton 1:09.
Fixture:
Sat 15th June. Important we can get as many as possible to attend. Everyone will get loads of game time. We are billed to play three teams, Ballybrown, Ballyheigue and Ratheniska. Round 1 starts at 10am. Cup final scheduled for 2pm.
U14s:
Last Saturday, our under 14s travelled to Thurles for the Munster Provincial Hurling Féile Blitz in Thurles Sarsfields GAA Club, Tipperary. Killeedy-Tournafulla got off to a convincing start with a win over local club Croom in the first game. Final score: Killeedy-Tournafulla 7-5(26) Vs Croom 1-4(7)
The second match proved to be a tougher game. Behind by just a single point going into half time, Killeedy-Tournafulla worked hard in the second half but lost out on a win to Newport, Co. Tipperary. Final score: Killeedy-Tournafulla 1-4(7) Vs Newport, Co. Tipperary 2-7(13)
Through to the semi-final of the plate, the 3rd game opponents were Ballyhae, Co.Clare. Notably, Ballyhae went on to win that game and win the final of the plate against a good Eire Og Ennis team.
No doubt, plenty or fired legs after a tough days’ hurling. Well done boys.
