KILDIMO PALLASKENRY GAA CLUB NOTES

LIMERICK SENIOR HURLERS: The very best of luck to the Limerick senior hurlers in the All-Ireland Final this Sunday. It is an opportunity to win an amazing third All-Ireland in four years. This is a truly special team, and it is fantastic that Kildimo/Pallaskenry has its representatives on this stage. Our senior hurling captain, Kyle Hayes, has started every game in the Championship, has racked up two goals from wing-back and is currently favourite with the bookies for Hurler of the Year. Darren O’Connell has been pushing hard for a place in the matchday panel, he has been in great form, but there is serious competition for places in such a strong team. We also have representation in the backroom, with Ruairí Maher part of the performance analysis and statistics team. The amount of hours that go into analysing both themselves and the opposition is huge, and Ruairí’s keen eye plays a massive part in that. Our club physio, Mark Melbourne, who lives locally is also the Limerick senior physio. It has been a joy watching this group of players, best of luck to all involved this weekend!
INTERMEDIATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP: Our first Intermediate Football Championship is fixed for Thursday, August 26 as we take on Dromcollogher/Broadford in Askeaton.
U-13 FOOTBALL: Well done to our U-13 footballers who defeated Cappagh/Rathkeale on a 2-9 to 0-2 scoreline to make it two wins from three in the U-13 Championship.
U-15 FOOTBALL: Kildimo/Pallaskenry 2-8 Athea 1-8. A fantastic victory for our U-15 footballers against a very strong Athea side on Monday evening. The victory means we have won our three opening games and go top of the group with a game to play. Well done to all involved!
MINOR HURLERS: Our minor hurlers are back in action on Wednesday night, as they take on Kilmallock in Kilmallock at 7pm. Best of luck to all involved!
