Our club school coaching line is in full flow at the moment. Michael Whelan who is our club/school coach is in hospital school on Monday doing great coaching work. And on Thursdays Michael is in Herbertstown school working with them in there after school coaching. Great work is being done in both school by the staff with their boys and girls school teams.

South schools.

Great congratulations goes to Liam Gleeson, Griffen McCaffery and Sean Hennessey who have made the final panel of 21 for the South schools hurling team for the up coming Mackey cup competition. This is a great achievement for the 3 boys especially for their families, schools and club and we wish them best wishes as they prepare for the Mackey cup games.

The club will be holding u6,8,10 &12 parish league’s on Saturday May 25th so keep the date in your diary. Details to follow in coming weeks.

The local tidy towns organisation are taking part in the TLC event on good Friday and have asked that any players or parents available to help would be greatly appreciated. They hope so to have a star celebrity there on the day too.

U 12 Football v Oola. Our u12 played Oola in a football challenge game this evening. In testing weather conditions where there the game was delayed for 10mins due a hailstorm. This was a very close game. Our lads withstood some early pressure from Oola and defended very well playing into a strong breeze. We went into the half time break trailing 1-01 to 0-01. In the second half again our boys put in great work and scored some lovely scores. We ran out winners on a scoreline of H-H 2-04 Oola 2-02. We done to all our players who’s work rate was very good form start to finish. Thanks to Oola for a great game and hosting us. Panel on the night was; A Gleeson, N Harty, N Brennan, D Ryan, C McMahon, S O Dea, C Ellevsen, R McNamara, C McNamara, J Fitzgerald, W Ryan O Sullivan, C Higgins, L Buckley, J Gallagher, C Ahern, O Lyons, B Barrett, K Hennessy, L Ellevsen

Well done to Killian Real to represented the club in the human race last Saturday. Hard luck to our dog Cuore Di Ferro who lost out in the Quarter Final.
