Last weeks South Intermediate Hurling League match
Hospital Herbertstown 2-21. Effin. 3-22. This was our last game in the league for 2021.we travelled to Effin with a depleted squad for the match. We had the bare 15 with a few junior b lads helping out to put in a really spirited performance on a lovely night for hurling. A really entertaining 1st half including a super goal from Dylan o Connor & some great points from Conor o Grady left us 1.12 to 1.10 down at halftime. A slow start to the 2nd half left us 4 points down but the lads rallied to go a point up with 5 minutes to go. Unfortunately Effin got 2 quickfire goals to win the game 3.22 to 1.21.a harsh scoreline but some fantastic performances from Conor o Grady(0-5 0-5f), Mike Whelan, Aaron Murphy & Mark Deegan were great to see. All the lads gave it their all tonight for the jersey. Team John Fitzgerald, Callum Winship, Aaron Murphy, John Riordan, Sean & Mark Deegan(0-1), Simon Divilly, Conor O Grady, Killian Real, Liam O Donnell (0-1), Michael Whelan,
Michael Riordan, Killian O Shea, Joe Fogarty (0-1) Dylan O Connor 1-3, 0-5f)
