GOOD WEEKEND FOR LIMERICK GAA TEAMS

Over the weekend Limerick had five teams playing in Competitive action.

On Saturday, three teams took to the field of play, Ard Scoil Ris playing in the Dr. Harty Cup Semi Final in Mallow scored a well merited 0.17 to 2.08 victory over CBCork to reach the final on Saturday 17th. February. The Camogie Team travelled to Dunganny Co Meath to play Meath in a postponed National League game and scored a very impressive 2.10 to 0.02 win. Limerick Senior Footballers made the journey to Portlaoise to play Laois in the opening Round of the Allianz Football League and suffered a 2.12 to 0.09 defeat.

On Sunday, the Ladies Football side had their first Lidl League game when they played Carlow in Fenagh Co Carlow, the sides finished level 1.04. each. The Senior Hurlers opened their Allianz Hurling League Campaign when they met Laois at the Gaelic Grounds and recorded a 1.25 to 0.18 win, thus giving a good return for the weekend, PLAYED 5, WON 3, DREW 1,LOST 1. 70%
