LIMERICK HURLERS TAKE LEAGUE POINTS
Limerick 1.25 Laois 0.18.

Limerick took the League points on offer today at the Gaelic Grounds when in front of 1,450 spectators, they defeated Laois by 1.25 to 0.18 in the opening Round game of the Allianz Hurling League.

Despite the display being unimpressive, Limerick never looked like losing from the start and led at the interval by 1.12 to 0.06, having been aided by the breeze in the opening half.

The second half was very evenly contested with the visitors more in the game where they scored 0.12, while the home side added 0.13 to secure the win by a ten point margin, 1.25 to 0.18 and take the brace of league points on offer
