U15’s win the Feile

Congratulations to the U15 team and management and trainers who won out the U15 Division 2 Feile to be County Champions in Rathkeale on Monday the 18th of April. They won three out of their four games on the first day of the Feile in Knocklong on Saturday, which qualified them for a semi-final in Rathkeale against Belville Gaels. The final proceeded at 11am on Monday which resulted in an excellent result with Glenroe winning by a convincing score line 6-4 to 1-4, which qualified the team for the Final at 12:30 against Murroe. The final proved to be a lot tighter affair with Glenroe coming out eventual winners 3-7 to 2-7, where the team showed their champions quality to hold onto the result. This is an amazing achievement and the parish showed their support coming out to greet them Monday evening in Glenroe GAA Field. The future is bright with this group and we are sure this is the first of many titles they will bring to the club.
