Under 13 Final – Shannon Gaels vs. Ballybricken
Our u13’s played in the county final on Saturday last and were beaten by a very strong Ballybricken team. Saturday wasn’t our day but the boys gave it everything. We played against the wind in the 1st half and found it hard to get a foothold in the game. Gavin opened our account with a free from 30 yards. Kealan then scored a brilliant goal and we tagged on another few points to reduce the deficit going into the break. Ballybricken got the 1st score of the 2nd half before Darragh scored a tremendous goal and a fightback seemed on the cards. Unfortunately, we couldn’t build on it and Ballybricken ran out winners. There was no lack of heart or effort from the boys and they played till the end. A special mention to Alex O’ Sullivan who is recovering from a broken hand. Panel in full: Killian Sheehan, Ruairi McEnery, Evan O’Shaughnessy, Noah Daly, Darragh Mullane, Jimmy Mullane, Conor Whelan, Graham McDonagh, Luke Costello, Gavin Thompson, Sean Maharg, Kealan Loneragan, Eoghan O’Connor, Ruairí Curley, Dylan Ambrose, Thomas Lyons, Harry Wallace.
