Club Limerick Draw
The Club Limerick draw takes place on 29th May this month. There is a fabulous 8-seater garden set worth €1599 up for grabs, along with many more prizes. This will be the third of ten monthly draws which will run until December.
The Club Limerick Draw is one of our main fundraisers with 50% of the entrant fee returned to our own Gerald Griffin’s club. We strongly urge club members and the community to support this very important fundraiser. The cost of entry is €10 per draw. We had two winners from Gerald Griffin’s club in last month’s draw, we hope the club will have good luck again this month.

Darkness Into Light Walk
Darkness Into Light 2021 was a huge success all around the country and it was wonderful to see so many people out walking and supporting such a worthy cause. Many people in the parish were up early last Saturday morning in support of Pieta House. It was a walk with a difference this year as everyone walked within their own bubbles at their own locations. Across the country, 6.5 million euro was raised for this very worthy cause
Thanks to the organisers, to Ballyhahill Development, to those who lit up the River Walk with candles and balloons and to Sunnie Gadbury for leading us off with a virtual warm-up at 5 a.m. There is a link here if anyone still wishes to make a donation to Pieta House. Well done again to all who participated. https://www.darknessintolight.ie/home-page-2021
Covid Update For Clubs
From 10th May: outdoor training is permitted at adult level in pods of a maximum of 15 people (including coaches). However, games are not allowed and indoor facilities must remain closed.
From 7th June: (and subject to the Public Health Situation at the time) – club games will be permitted at all levels but must be played behind closed doors.
GAA officials in Croke Park are currently liaising with the relevant Departments to seek further information on the fines details of what will be permitted at various points in the recovery plan. For the moment, we would ask all our club members to be patient in relation to questions about the various return dates and the specifics of what will be allowed. We will communicate any further information we receive with you.
Please also follow the latest HSE advice on washing hands, cough etiquette and monitoring your health. If you suspect that you have symptoms, please avoid all Gaelic games and activities and consult your GP.
All players must complete the GAA’s Return to Play Health questionnaire and reconfirm for all games and training sessions. The online training module in relation to Covid should be completed by all participants (parents on behalf of their children) and can be found at the link here:
