GALBALLY GAA CLUB NOTES
Hard luck to Kevin Denihan (Manager), Niall Kearney (Analysis), Owen O Sullivan, Cathal O’Mahony and Paddy Kennedy on the Munster Minor Football final defeat against Cork at Semple Stadium on Wednesday night. Kevin Denihan has come up from Under 14 with this group of players, winning the Under 15 Dermot Earley Cup along the way, and they were hugely unlucky to lose the Munster Minor Final. Having been totally dominant entering the second-half water break, they lost momentum and Cork came from behind to nailed the scores that won the game. The next step is to keep this group together and progress them onto Under 20 over the next few years.
Best of luck to John Kiely, Kieran Hickey and Mark Quinlan in the All Ireland Final next weekend. For health reasons, not everyone will be make the choice to travel and sit in a stadium amongst 40,000 people, but rest assured that everyone not in attendance will be there in spirit.
