GALBALLY GAA CLUB NOTES

Congratulations to Kevin Denihan (Manager), Niall Kearney (Analysis), Owen O Sullivan and Cathal O’Mahony on the Munster Minor Football victory over Clare. They now reach the Munster final against Cork. The game will take place at a neutral venue on 11th August.
It will be the first Munster Final appearance for Limerick Minor Footballers since 1998, a game where there were strong Galbally links with both Eddie Scully and Jeremy Staunton on the starting 15. Pat O’Shea of Kerry managed that team. The game is remembered for the disallowed goal that hit the back stanchion just before half time. Tadhg Kennelly scored the second goal for Kerry on the day. Eddie Scully also played in the 1997 Munster Minor final, and the team was managed by the late Seamus Murphy of Ballylanders. Kerry were inspired by two goal Paul Galvin with Noel Kennelly also grabbing a goal. Highlights can be viewed here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSaUPydByBQ
