GALBALLY GAA CLUB NOTES

The Galbally Under 12 Footballers played Galtee Gaels at Kilbehenny last week, giving a spirited performance before going down narrowly in the end. The Junior Football fixture schedule for the South League has been made available and any players who wish to play Junior Football should contact any club officer ASAP. Shane Hanrahan made a point scoring debut for Limerick minors with a left legged free in Newcastlewest against Clare, and Eoin McGrath and Peter O’Dwyer started on the team. Josh Dineen was unavailable for selection and Shane O’Donoghue kicked three points from play. A GAA pitch maintenance course will take place at Semple Stadium Thurles on Saturday 27th April. Preparations for the upcoming Galbally GAA Golf Classic at Ballykisteen are taking shape and a number of sponsors have come on board. We thank these sponsors and they will be publicised in due course once the list is finalised.

Galbally Bord Na nÓg will host a music night at Joe’s Abbey Bar on Sunday night next 21st April. Admission €5. Please support. The Con and Annie Kirby Final takes place Saturday night with the Galbally Camogie nominated dog ‘Toolmaker Jose’ qualifying after winning the semi-final at Limerick Greyhound Stadium last weekend. The latest Split the Pot winner was William O’Halloran Corderry who was the lucky winner of €386. Next Draw in Joe’s Abbey Bar, Galbally on Saturday night next 20thApril.
