BLACKROCK GAA CLUB NOTES
There was no winner of the club lotto on 10th April. The numbers drawn were 5 8 22 30. The €40 went to Biddy Magner, Thomastown Promotor Donie O’Sullivan. The €20 went to Margaret McCarthy, Park View House, Promotor Brendan O’Brien, Julie Brazill, Martinstown, Promotor Breda Walsh, James, Shane, Conor Philpot, Promotor Mollys, Darryl Crotty, Treada Na Ri, Promotor Brendan O’Brien.
The next lotto is on 17th April, in McCarthys Bar for €4,400.
The Premier Intermediates started this years championship V Pallasgreen on Sunday in Hospital town, it ended in a draw on a score line of 1 15 each, under very difficult weather conditions. With a very strong wind with us in the second half we came from a 10 point deficit to draw the match. Captained by Paudie Leahy the team was Barry O’Shaughnessy, Ian O’Brien, Nigel Hosford, Don Flaherty, Marty Farrell, Dave Moloney, Brian Moloney, Paudie Leahy, Dylan Dawson, Liam Walsh, Kevin Hosford, Adrian Cooke, Sean Palmer, Colm O’Keeffe, Ruairi O’Shaughnessy, subs used Gavin O’Loughlin, Niall Moloney, Shaun Murphy. Panel Mikey Duggan, Kevin Hosford, Simon Hennessy, Ben Soundy, James O’Doherty, David Healy, Paudie Lawlor, David O’Flaherty, JoJo Brazill, Danny Moloney, Jordan Soundy, Gearoid Lawlor, Darryl Crotty, Colm O’Neill.

Scoil Pol under 16 ½ footballers won the LIT junior shield under the captaincy of Declan Gilligan beating Desmond Collage by 3 points. The first and second year girls football team retained the Castletroy collage Munster cup title beating St Annes of Tipperary in the final to win by 1 point. Captained by Ciara O’Riordan.
The u14 boys contested feile last Saturday, beating Glenroe and losing a hard fought battle against Coislea Geals. A very strong Killaculla Gaels won all their matches. Well done to all for fine performances.
Fixtures: Round 2 of the premier intermediate championship V Mungret is on Friday 19th R 6.45 in Bruff.
On Saturday the 27th April the junior B hurling league starts with a match V Bruff in Kilfinane at 7pm.
