Fr. Caseys Vs Ballysteen – Friday May 13th in Abbeyfeale at 7.30pm
Senior West League
Fr. Caseys 2-13 Adare 0-13
Fr. Caseys hosted Adare last Friday evening in round 3 of the West League looking to add to recent wins over Rathkeale & Drom/Broadford. On a beautiful summers evening in front of the sizeable local crowd it was Fr. Caseys who prevailed with two goals to spare. Both teams were minus regular starters but this did not deter the home team and the great depth in the current panel was clear to see with many of our younger stars shining on the night. With a perfect record to date, Fr. Caseys now seem qualified to the knockout stages but will be keen to maintain the winning momentum when they face Ballysteen in their final group game this Friday evening in Abbeyfeale. The throw in time is 7.30pm and we would love to see another large crowd present to cheer on the team
Limerick GAA
Best of luck to Adrian Enright and the Limerick Senior Footballers who take on Tipperary this coming Saturday in the Semi-Final of Munster Championship. Hopefully the heroics of the Quarter Final victory over Clare can be repeated and a Munster Finals showdown with Kerry can be realised. The game takes place in Thurles with a 7pm throw in.
Unfortunately our County Minor Footballers exited the Munster Championship last Thursday with a 1-04 to 1-14 defeat to Tipperary in Mallow. Well done to Michael Kilbridge, Cian Harnett, Calum Boyle and Adam O’Shea for their efforts all year.
Well done to Adam Fitzgerald who was part of the victorious Limerick U20 Hurling team who claimed the Munster Title last Wednesday evening with a 4 point victory over Tipperary. They now face the Leinster winners in the All-Ireland final at the end of May.
Well done also to the Limerick Senior hurlers who defeated Tipperary last Sunday to maintain their perfect record and book a place in the Munster Final with one game to spare. Limerick complete their group phase this Sunday when they travel to Cusack Park, Ennis to take on Clare. The throw in time is 4pm with tickets as with previous games available at usual online and retail stores.
