RTÉ have confirmed they will live broadcast five of the 10 Munster senior hurling championship games this year.

The national broadcasters will televise the Clare-Limerick clash in Cusack Park on April 21 followed by Limerick’s meeting with Tipperary in TUS Gaelic Grounds seven days later.

It won’t be May 19 until they showed their third and fourth matches in the province, the Clare-Waterford and Tipperary-Cork meetings on May 19. They will pick the best fixture on May 26 closer to the time before showing the Munster final on June 9.

With GAAGo streaming four matches, the only game that won’t be available to watch remotely will be one of the final round games, Limerick v Waterford or Tipperary v Clare on May 26.

As was known previously, Cork’s hurlers won’t be live on TV screens until May 19 although the footballers could reach the Munster final set to be shown on May 5.

RTÉ open their coverage of the All-Ireland senior championships with the Ulster preliminary round fixture between Monaghan and Cavan in St Tiernach’s Park on Sunday week.
