Athea GAA Club Notes:

Junior Football League:
Round 2 Athea 1-6 Mountcollins 1-7
Round 3 Athea 2-12 Feenagh/Kilmeedy 0-3
We played 2 games last week, both away from home. On Wednesday under lights we lost to Mountcollins by a single point in a game that we at least should have drawn. On Saturday last against an understrength Feenagh/Kilmeedy team we had a comprehensive win. We led at half time by 2-6 to 0-1, after a great team performance. The second half wasn’t as impressive but a 12 point win was a good reflection of our performance. Team v Feenagh,
Tomás Ahern, David O’ Connor, Alan Kelly, Tommy Quaid, Jack O Connor, Micheál Dalton, Jason Kelly, Dylan Griffin, Michael Tierney, Shane Mulvihill, Daire O Shea, Evan Curry, James Broderick, Tj Hunt, Andrew O’ Riordan, Subs, Tadhg Ahern, Calum Buckley, Rory Cleary, Eoin Sheahan, Aiden Curry and Colm Hasset. Other players who played against Mountcollins were Martin Chawke, Jonathan Fitzgerald and Eoin O Shea.
