Final place up for grabs with Limerick Premier U21 football semi-finals down for decision:

THE BUSY festive Limerick GAA schedule continues this Friday evening when the semi-finals of the County Premier U21 football semi-finals take place.

Monaleen take on Mungret St Paul’s at Maguire’s Field (UL South Campus), while Newcastle West meet Fr Casey’s in the other semi-final at Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale. Both games have 6.30pm starts. The final for this competition is due to take place on Wednesday, December 27.

Mungret topped Group 1 with impressive wins over Newcastle West, Adare and Galbally, while Monaleen’s solitary group win over St Kieran’s see them to this stage.

Fr Casey’s swept Group 2 with three wins from three over Monaleen, St Patrick’s and St Kieran’s. Newcastle West beat Galbally and drew with Adare to reach this stage.

The semi-finals of the U21 A Championship also take place this evening with Ballylanders taking on Ballysteen, while Na Piarsaigh face Oola. Those games take place in Mick Neville Park and Maguire’s Field respectively at 8.30pm.
