St. Kieran’s GAA Club Notes:

Charity Road Hurling 2023:
December 27 and our Annual Charity Road hurling event is fast approaching. Once again we are looking forward to seeing you all again in 2023 for what has become a huge event over the past decade which has seen our club raise over €20,000 for various charities. This year we are delighted to support our two excellent charities in Milford Care Centre and the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association. The event is open to all participants young and old. All you need is hurley, high-visability jacket and a number of sliotars. Once again participants will follow our traditional 4km route beginning at Ardagh church and making their way over Skehana Bridge before turning left towards Cahermoyle House. Once participants reach Cahermoyle they face the final leg towards Ardagh Church. We have set up a GoFundMe page for those of you who would like to support our chosen charities but are unable to attend on the day also. Looking forward to seeing you all on the 27th.

St. Kieran’s GAA 2024 All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Preview Night:
As our 2024 Championship Preview night on January 20th fast approaches, we are delighted to announce our final two special guest as former two-time Clare All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship winning captain Anthony Daly and former Cork All Ireland winning captain Mark Landers. We have an excellent line up on the night with two time all Ireland winner Tom Condon from Knockaderry, Tipperary All Ireland winning captain Brendan Maher, former Limerick All Ireland winner and former Limerick manager Richie Bennis and former Galway camogie star Aislinn Connolly also among our special guests. Our special MC on the night will be former Limerick player and Manager TJ Ryan of Garryspillane. Tickets are now available to purchase. Our preview night promises to be a fantastic nights entertainment and we would encourage you all to come along on the night. All funds raised on the night will be going towards our current new pitch development in Ardagh.

AGM:
St. Kieran’s GAA AGM takes place on Friday January 12 in Ardagh Hall at 8pm. We would encourage all club members as well as those of you interested in getting involved in the running of the club at some capacity to attend on the evening.
