Junior B Hurling semi final
Last Sunday Feohanagh played Killeedy in the Junior B west semi final in Dromcollogher. This fixture is always a tight affair and with a strong breeze in the mix this game was no different. J Butler opened the scoreline for Feohanagh with a well struck free with Kileedy answering it with a free. There was a lull in scoring for a long time with Feohanagh having good possession but could not convert the scores. Then a good ball in to the forwards gave D Kirwin the chance to put the ball in the back of the killeedy net. Killeedy picked off two points from frees to keep them in the game but another goal from G Sexton and 2 frees from J Butler and a point from D Kirwin gave Feohanagh the lead they needed as they were laying with the strong breeze in the first half. The second half was a battle and the Feohanagh backline commanded by P Lomasney worked very hard to keep the Kileedy forwards out of scoring distance. 2 more points from D Kirwin and a free from J Butler gave Feohanagh the well deserved win. They showed great heart and commitment and they never gave up. They are now in the West Final whenever games will resume.
All fixtures are subject to change. Please check the website and social media outlets for updates.
